Heidi L. Tatum, MPAS, PA-C, grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. She moved to Charleston, SC in 2005 after receiving her Masters of Physician Assistant from Duquesne University. Since then she has worked in various areas of the medical field including urgent care, emergency medicine and family practice. She actually worked at the Springview location from June 2007 to October 2015 with Palmetto Primary Care treating patients of all ages. Her passion has always been in family practice, so she returned in September 2018 now working with MUSC.
Heidi loves treating women's health, diabetes, and has a knack for wound care. Heidi also loves giving back to her profession and finds it imperative to find time for new and upcoming physician assistants. That is why you will often find physician assistant students in the clinic with her. Heidi's goal is to treat patients with the same care and compassion as she would use to treat her own family members. She wants patients to feel comfortable and confident in the care she is providing.
