Dr. Renfro is a native of Nashville and received his undergraduate degree in Zoology from the University of Tennessee. He attended the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in Memphis where he earned his Medical Degree. He served his internship, as well as his residency, at the Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition, he received a Fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery from the Royal Princess Elizabeth Hospital in Exeter, England.
Dr. Renfro is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and by the National Board of Medical Examiners. His areas of specialization include arthritis surgery and joint replacements, sports medicine, and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee. He maintains active affiliations with Southern Hills Medical Center, Williamson Medical Center, and the Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics Surgery Center.
Dr. Renfro served as Chief of Surgery at Southern Hills Medical Center from 1994-1996. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Tennessee Medical Association, the Nashville Academy of Medicine, and the Nashville Orthopaedic Society. When not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family and participating in outdoor recreational activities.
