About

My name is Farideh Emami. As a teacher and principal, I have successfully worked with Seattle Public Schools for over 20 years. I am very familiar with the culture, curricula, and expectations within our schools. I still have a strong desire to help students and parents in this community. Our center has dedicated (and licensed) teachers and staff to support our students in reaching their highest potential. We tutor all K-12+ students in the Seattle area. Our programs include subject tutoring, ESL or ELL tutoring , support students with special needs, Singapore Math tutoring, and SAT/ACT prep. tutoring. We also prepare students interested in taking various exams like ASVAB.

Is your student registered to take the AP Exams in May or June? Then now is the time to prepare. Strong scores on the #APExams can help your student earn college credit or place out of lower level college prerequisites. This means paying less in #tuition and graduating early! Each AP Exam covers the content of that subject area. For example, the AP Exam in World History covers the content from the AP course in World History. With the exception of Studio Art, all of the AP Exams combine multiple-choice questions with an open-response section. The open-response may be in essay format, problem-solving format, or spoken response. For AP Studio Art, a student must submit a portfolio for review and scoring. In celebrating World Poetry Day, UNESCO recognizes the unique ability of poetry to capture the creative spirit of the human mind. A decision to proclaim March 21st as World Poetry Day was adopted during UNESCO's 30th session held in Paris in 1999. Practiced throughout history – in every culture and on every continent – poetry speaks to our common humanity and our shared values, transforming the simplest of poems into a powerful catalyst for dialogue and peace. Here at Huntington, we love poems by Maya Angelou! 'On the Pulse of Morning' and 'Amazing Peace' are two we love to read. Who is your favorite poet? #worldpoetryday #poetry
