Here is a crown made by a “lower end” dental lab on an upper molar implant I placed. The crown kept falling off and the patient came back to us out of frustration. He had switched dentists, and we placed a Zimmer Encode abutment and did a CAD CAM scan of his mouth. A high end, very capable lab affiliated with Zimmer Implant company made the second crown. Even a layperson can tell the difference in everything from the gorgeous contours, shape and overall esthetic. Encode prevents you from having the mouth full of impression material for minutes on end and gives you a beautiful, extremely functional restoration. Mid South Dental Lab- David Jackson owner. The technologically advanced dental lab...no stone, no acrylic...just 3D printing resin and STL files as far as the eye can see. Now this is dental lab work that’s fun and very cool. Pictured below is 2 models I printed in about 30 minutes based on intraoral scans made of the patients mouth.
And thanks to Dr. Cory Glenn for the insight for the radiographic marking jig for dual scan techniques for CBCT’s. What a time saver and excellent idea. Meshmixed it this morning to exactly what I need.
Sunday funday. Printing surgical guides for some upcoming cases. Where’s my coffee? 😂
Digital surgical planning for multiple cases done, several Team Viewer consultations with restorative doctors done and getting ready to start 3D guide printing to get exact, safe results for the patients.
Dentistry was deemed non-essential for almost two months. It is VERY essential to your overall health and goes hand-in-hand with many systemic health conditions. Your oral health is extremely important in balancing your overall bodily health. WASHINGTONEXAMINER.COM The coronavirus's silent dental epidemic
Your gums are the frame to your smile. Great case this morning of a teenager that completed orthodontics with beautiful, straight teeth. They were still disappointed in the look. The look wasn’t optimal because the teeth appear too short because she has a “gummy smile.” Several different things can cause it. 1st photo is pre-op, 2nd photo is halfway through the procedure and the 3rd photo is when is was almost finished with her smile enhancement surgery. Instant, dramatic differences!
Due to wide spread area flooding and the forecast for continued rain, for the safety of our staff and patients, we will be canceling our day for tomorrow at our Paducah location.
Getting some surgical guides ready for next week and putting up shiplap during my waiting periods. Love how my lab is coming along.
This patient had multiple abscesses, missing teeth and bone loss from gum disease and had difficulty eating. In 2 1/2 hours I removed the remaining teeth and they left with this full arch fixed bridge that matches her upper teeth perfectly. Great job to the team of the best dental lab in the country of David Jackson at MidSouth Dental Lab, Austin George with Zimmer Biomet and Jeff Fletcher will be the restorative doctor for the final porcelain restoration. #immediateimplant #newdaynewsmile #allonx #drculley #zimmerimplants #chrome #guidedsurgery #teethinaday #dentalimplants
It’s Full-Arch Friday! Stay tuned!!! #allonx #immediateimplant #newdaynewsmile #drculley #zimmerimplants #chrome #guidedsurgery
I have a terrific, hard working staff. We usually work a 4 day week of patient treatment, however, since Thanksgiving, we have been seeing patients 5 days a week. I gave everyone the option of doing that or working the 21st-23rd next week. We wanted to get everyone treated in enough time they could enjoy their holidays with family and loved ones. So we end our year tomorrow with another Full-Arch Friday!!! Pictures coming tomorrow...
Sunday funday. I’ve been in the lab since 7:00 getting all the cases printed and ready for this coming week. I’ve got my 80’s/90’s alternative music playing, protein bars and Diet Coke...all set!
Implant case planning until bedtime. This is the most fun thing I do! It’s like a surgery video game for dental surgeons.
We will be closed today due to icy road conditions. Everyone please be safe.
My middle daughter is currently a sophomore at the University of Tennessee at Martin, my Alma mater. Tonight she was walking through the University Center near Watkins Auditorium and noticed this new display and sent it to me. My wife and I loved UTM and swore we would give back when we could. In the early 2000’s, we set up an endowment scholarship that is given to 2 students every year that are in their junior or senior year. UTM is a great university for anyone wanting to continue their education and advance in their career. #skyhawkforlife
Surgical guide Sunday! A few of the surgical guides for dental implants for the first part of the week. And my lab keeps getting closer to being finished.
I performed a full arch fixed implant case with extractions and grafting this morning and finished sooner than I thought I would so we have the staff training on the Medit Intraoral Scanner to improve their technique and speed. They are doing great! I’m very proud of them.
