Dr. Jarod DuVall is a primary care physician who practices in Encino. He is board certified in internal medicine, and focuses on preventive medicine and helping patients manage their chronic medical conditions.
Raised in Orange County and trained in Los Angeles, Dr. DuVall understands and embraces the diversity of Southern California. He enjoys working with patients from all backgrounds and believes in creating a safe, welcoming and non-judgmental environment. He employs a multidisciplinary, collaborative approach to help patients find the best treatment plan for their individual situation, and practices efficient, cost-effective and evidence-based medicine.
Dr. DuVall received his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, and stayed on for an additional year as chief resident. He earned his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. DuVall is a clinical instructor in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, who precepts and teaches internal medicine residents and medical students at the Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. He is passionate about medical education and working with the future leaders of medicine. He is also interested in healthcare advocacy and improving medical care for underserved communities.
When he's not working, Dr. DuVall enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, going to museums and cultural events, listening to live music, eating good food, and sauntering through the different neighborhoods of Los Angeles.
Dr. DuVall actively participates in the American College of Physicians and has attended multiple advocacy events promoting awareness of patient needs.
