Great news! Harrison Township Firefighters Local 1737 18 September at 13:40 · We had a very exciting day at HTFD yesterday. Both Alpha units had the Styker Powerload system installed, which assists loading and unloading of patients out of the Alpha units. Alpha 1 and 2 have had the Styker Power-Pro cots, which use a push button hydraulic system to safely lift and lower our stretchers. Each stretcher can safely lift and carry 750 lbs. These systems will significantly reduce the potential for back injuries.

At that time, the County’s outdoor sirens will be activated for a steady three (3) minutes as a test of the warning network. In the event of severe weather, siren activation for a steady three (3) minutes means a tornado warning has been issued for our area; and residents should tune to local media for specific information regarding severe weather and additional instructions.
