Our safety employee of the month is Dan T, from our HVAC division. Dan is always looking out for the safety of everyone on his job sites. He sent our Safety Manager several photos of safety railings that were not installed on various floors at the Fairview Apartments job site as well as missing safety rails on the Interstate Lanes site. If Dan can fix the issues, he does so right on the spot. If not, he notifies the GC and they are fixed immediately.
Great work Dan!

HVAC Service Dispatcher
Jet Industries, Inc. is a family-owned contractor that has thrived in business for over 40 years by fostering an entrepreneurial culture that has led to our diversified construction trades.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Answer all customer service calls promptly.
• Will input all service calls into the computer system, determines customer needs and matches appropriate labor resource, dispatches the service call as promptly as possible. Using technology, tracks dispatched technicians throughout the day to maintain the highest productivity and cost efficiency.
• Daily monitors the progress of all service calls, communicates with customers and ensures the work has been performed to the customer's expectations, arranges for follow up as needed. Answers any customer inquiries and resolves or escalates customer issues as appropriate. Promptly bills out all service calls as completed.
• Maintains consistent communication with assigned technicians. Follows up on activities to ensure completion in a reasonable time frame.
• Assists with the scheduling of service contracts as needed. Assists with the contract renewal process as directed by Service & Maintenance Division Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Typically requires at least two years of progressively responsible work experience in an administrative setting.
• Must be able to prioritize work and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook are needed. A knowledge of MAS200.
• Accounting Software is preferable but not required. Experience with Service Management software is preferable.
• Must be able to use Fax machine, copy machine, postage machine and UPS Worldwide software. Demonstrated competence in written and verbal communication skills.

HVAC Service Dispatcher
Earlier this month, we celebrated National Women in Construction Week (March 7-11) as part of our celebration of Women’s History Month! This week highlights women in construction, helps raise awareness of the opportunities available and emphasizes the growing role of women in the industry.
Between 2017 and 2018, the number of women working in construction trades increased by 17.6 percent, rising to well over a quarter of a million women (2,760,000), according to a new analysis from the Institute of Women’s Policy Research (IWPR). This growth is nearly five times faster than job growth of 3.7 percent in construction occupations overall. (From Contractor Magazine). Currently, women make up 9.1% of the entire construction industry in the US.
