Dr. Balthrop has been practicing medicine in Lexington, KY for over 20 years and is a senior partner at Bluegrass Orthopaedics. Providing specialized patient care as a general orthopaedist, he has a special interest in joint replacement, knee arthroscopy surgery and treatment of shoulder injuries
Dr. Balthrop received his medical education from the University of Miami (Miami, FL), served an internship at the George Washington University Hospital, Washington DC and his residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Balthrop is Board Certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.
