Dr. Leiva is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery, the Mexican Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He is also recognized as a Center of Excellence for his work in Bariatric Surgery and has a special interest in advanced laparoscopy, including laparoscopic repair of all types of hernias, gallbladder disease, gastroesophageal reflux surgery and laparoscopic colon surgery.
