Dr. Kathryn McElheny is an Assistant Attending Physician at Hospital for Special Surgery. She is board certified in Pediatrics and has completed an additional fellowship in Sports Medicine.
Dr. McElheny earned her undergraduate degree from Emory University before attending medical school at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. She completed her Pediatrics Residency and an additional Chief Resident year at Weill Cornell Medical Center. She remained in New York for her Primary Sports Medicine Fellowship here at HSS where she provided medical coverage for the New York Mets, New York Giants, and local high school football teams in addition to assisting with numerous other mass participation events ranging from local road races to Ironman Triathlons.
