Kelsey holds a pre-med bachelor’s degree in Human Biology, Health and Society from Cornell University, with concentrations in Maternal Health & Child Development, Global Health and Nutritional Biochemistry. She completed her doula training at the Simkin Center for Allied Birth Vocations at Bastyr University in January 2017. Kelsey was inspired to become a doula after her realization during her own pregnancy of the importance of trusting one’s care providers. Her top priority is to have a trust-based relationship with her clients, while supporting and empowering them to make the choices that are right for them during the birth of their child. Having personally had a miscarriage and then a challenging pregnancy and labor, Kelsey empathizes with the emotional and physical demands of birth. When not attending births, Kelsey enjoys volunteering with seniors, hiking, salsa dancing and baking with her daughter. Rate: $1200
