After struggling with terrible back and sciatic pain for months, my doctor referred me for Physical Therapy. Initially I was nervous, but I was put at ease when I met my physical therapist, Dwight, who was warm and friendly.
Dwight is professional, knowledgeable, and an expert in his field. He assessed my therapy plan each visit and adjusted to help me progress with my back problems. Dwight is attentive during the exercises to make sure they are being done correctly and is encouraging throughout. I felt actual improvement and my pain lessened with each session. He has helped me come so far and for this I am so thankful.
In addition, Holly and Amanda at the front desk are outstanding! From the moment you walk in the door, the ladies make you feel so welcome. "I would like to thank the staff at Kessler Rehabilitation in Freehold for providing therapy services that have assisted in my recovery from major surgery on my left foot. My problems were numerous, consisting of a bunion and having the toe next to my big toe completely overlap and rest on the big toe of my left foot. I started with services at the rehabilitation center in Freehold while I was non-weight bearing after surgery. The therapy services helped me progress to the point where I was walking and using the specialized equipment to strengthen my left foot, leg muscles and core.
However, I am 71 and when the Covid infection rate started to rise in New Jersey, I decided to switch to Telehealth services. It has been a huge success. The therapists are quite specific in describing the exercises and providing practical suggestions for materials that can be used in the exercises. All of the staff are quite supportive providing continuous feedback both during and after the therapy exercises. The therapists have been so supportive and they have helped me in gradually regaining full use of my left foot. I am so very grateful to all."

• Do the penguin shuffle… walk flat footed, use short steps, use your arms for balance and concentrate on walking
• Pay attention to your surroundings and watch out for icy spots
• Exercise caution when shoveling snow and ice
• Take frequent breaks in warm areas
• Warm up by scooping small amounts of snow
• Push snow instead of lifting it
• If you have to lift, keep your back straight, lift with your legs and don’t turn or twist your body
