Good morning. I see you sitting in your room, socially distanced, socially isolated, wearing a mask, watching the start of another day. I know how hungry you get for contact, for touch, for distraction. I hear the sirens and am grateful your name is not in the cluster list.

Joe Stumpe with The Active Age worked quickly and diligently to verify and correct the data shared by Sedgwick County that showed KMH with an open cluster. A cluster is considered closed after two (2) incubation periods (28 days) have passed since the last exposure with no new cases identified within that period of time.
KMH’s cluster closed on September 15, 2020.
CMS issued guidance for the Holidays. With the extremely high COVID positivity rate in Sedgwick County we are strongly encouraging residents to not attend family gatherings.
I understand that Thanksgiving won't be the same this year without our family sitting around the table. My wife and I are still making the big dinner, but we are making "to go" boxes that we will take to our loved ones that live in senior housing. This way they have a home cooked meal and the least possible amount of exposure.
Whatever you decide, please be safe out there!

We were finally able to reopen our main dining room for our residents this week. Not only were our residents excited, our staff was excited to see all of their smiling faces together again! Socially distanced of course! 😁
