Kristy Summers is a Psychotherapist who has been in practice for over 30 years. She has designed her own treatment model and therory on Relationship Addiction and has recently published a book "Dying to Leave" which is her actual 90 day plan she has been using effectively to help clients end unhealthy relationships and break the destructive patterns which sabatoge them. Her model is unique and uses aggressive interventions. She treats individuals and couples and uses methods to get into the unconscious and heal the original traumas that cause these unheathy patterns. Her first chapter of her book defines in depth her treatment model and can be found on www.manta.com or just googling her name and book name on the web. More information about Kristys expertise are also featured on psychology today in Denver Co. where her practice is. Kristy has shown 30 years proof that her model is effective and she believes it is simply because she understands that talk therapy alone does not heal relationships issue's. Actually if intelligence did we would all just read some self help books and change. Sometimes having the information about why we do what we do is worse . Why, because our head does not make the decisions when it come's to love. It is our heart that decides even when our head says no we listen only to what our emotions tell us.. Kristy's greatest strenght is her 4 hour seminars that offer profound insight as to where our issue's originated and why we don't let them go. She combine's psycho drama, regression and experiential therapy. In the seminars she helps her clients with the help of the group to express their anger using plastic bats and pillows .Clients vent their anger and actually regress to the age they were when the trauma originnated. She reenacts funerals so people can get closure of loved ones that have passed. If a client has been sexually abused someone from the group plays the peretrator role and gives them lines to say that the actual abuser said. This quickly makes the client regress back to the actual age and time when it occured. Then the patient gets the bat and says as loud as possible everything as a child she never got to say. Kristy also is aware that she must emotionally put everyone who attended the seminar back togeter before she ends . Bradshaws inner child model is a favorite and she may have the group play duckduck goose! Sound crazy? Yes. Effective. Well, she did her first seminar in Denver last month and 4 members flew down from Fl. where her practice started just to do another seminar. Let's say these seminars are one of thoses things in life that you have to be there to really understand their impact. Her website is new but go there to find out more about the seminar's. The next one is January 24, 2015 in Denver from 10am to 2pm. Call to reserve a spot. 786-224-9340. I would love to hear any comments or request on my website. Their's a page to leave comments on.Kristy loves for people to call and ask questions or find out if your problems is something she can help with. Last since their are so few therapists who deal so intensely with relationships she will be glad to do phone sessions from where ever you live. Remember, what you don't work out you live out..
