We received great news from @GlobalGiving! Thanks to @SaraBlakely and @Spanx, we have received a grant from their #RedBackpackFund created to support female entrepreneurs through the #COVID19 pandemic. This funding will help Labor of Love Childcare, LLC continue the work that we are doing in the community by providing access to quality childcare options.
Thank you for recognizing the strength of women business owners.

Our End of the Week Wrapup:
Our week consisted of fine motor practice with sticks, wooden mallets and chalk. We manipulated these objects to create art, to explore and to make marks.
Our sensory activities were sand and paint. Young children are wired for and crave sensory experiences as they explore everything with their hands and mouths.
Literacy- We read many books about animals, colors and foods and are starting to have back and forth verbal interactions as our friends are learning more words with their vocabulary explosion of words🎉🎉
🎉🎉Happy Saturday! I love Saturdays, don't you?
📢📢Join Labor of Love and Smothered & Covered on Friday, September 25th at 5 pm for our Annual Fall Fundraiser.
We are hoping to raise money to make updates to our playground space for our "littles".
Come get some delicious food and support a good cause! 😋❤️#LaborofLoveChildcare #SmotheredCovered
Labor of Love believes in the importance of play for young children's learning and development because it is the way a child is naturally wired.

I hope that we all want to do what is in the best interest of babies in our care because they deserve that from us. ♥
Here is an article from Janet Lansbury on baby positioning that can limit a baby's physical motor development.
Let's grow and learn together. 😊

It feels like a lot sometimes:
✅ sleep deprivation
✅ balancing work, needs, priorities, relationships
✅ taking care of the home and yourself
✅ finding ways to be present (and enjoy your time) with baby
It’s not just you. You’re not alone.
If you want to let go of the insecurities...
If you want peace of mind you’re “doing it right” or “doing enough”
If you want to feel less lonely and surround yourself with other families going through the same thing
(Without the judgmental side eye)
I’d like to invite you to register now for my upcoming “Baby & Me” workshop on November 8, using the Learn With Less® curriculum.
🌟This is a special opportunity to join me and a small group of new parents + babies 0-12 months 🌟

Thank you for voting us as your "favorite childcare home"!❤🎉
There are some things that we should keep doing even if they may seem dated because they work!
Today, we pulled out our brand new flannel boards, flannel pieces for our nursery rhymes, and I recited some of my favorite nursery rhymes❤. Let's not forget that nursery rhymes introduce children to early literacy concepts that focus on sounds and rhyming words.
Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater and can you guess the rhyme with a clock and a mouse?😏😄
What a creative way to teach colors, unplanned, but intentional teaching that your child will receive at Labor of Love and they are having fun doing it!😍❤😄
Thank you for the opportunity!

Has your business had to pivot during COVID-19? Long-time Indiana SBDC client LaDawn White changed her business, Labor of Love Childcare, to provide in-home childcare and the Indiana SBDC helped connect her to resources to increase her online presence.
“I started working with the Indiana Small Business Development Center in 2015. They were really very instrumental in helping me with marketing research for my business at that time. If you’re starting a business, they should be the first place you go,” said LaDawn White, owner of Labor of Love Childcare, LLC.
