Been coming here for over ten years but this was my first "post-Covid" dental appointment. Rest assured, Dr. Leo and crew have made many thoughtful adjustments to assure the safety and comfort of their patients. There were HEPA filters and UV filtration in each individual cleaning room...face screens, masks, and hair coverings worn by all hygienists...and elimination of the waiting room (just text from the parking lot and they will tell you when to come inside). I felt totally safe and comfortable getting my teeth cleaned in these crazy times. Always a friendly and personable staff, and Dr. Leo listens to and answers your questions!
Update as of April 8, 2020
We want to keep everyone in the loop as to what’s going on here with Lafayette Dental Excellence. The most recent mandate from the state has us postponing all non-emergency treatment now until April 26th. If you have a scheduled appointment in April prior to the 26th please be aware that we will call you to reschedule once we have a set date. We are sending updates via email and Facebook for any extensions. For now, we ask that you stay safe and healthy. Our main focus is the community and patients.
If you do find yourself experiencing pain or discomfort be sure to call us at 303-664-1001 press 2 for Dr. Leo.
Even though we are closed you can email any inquiries to us here at smile@lafayettedentalexcellence.com and we can get back to you within 2/3 days.
You may find yourself with the added stress, clenching and grinding more. To alleviate jaw pain a warm towel or heating pad on your jaw may help with relaxing the muscles. You can do this before bed and when you wake up. We do recommend a night guard if you have one be sure to use it, if you do not, we can discuss one at your next visit.

This week of social distancing with Lafayette Dental Excellence:
We had our monthly staff meeting virtual. We did an inventory of supplies to send to front line responders. To all of our healthcare and essential patients we are thankful as you are keeping our community moving and safe.
While we are currently emergency based only for a few weeks we are taking the downtime to spend time on things we normally would not.

We are thankful for so much this year but the #1 thing is our patients. We closed our doors in March this year and when we reopened the outpouring of understanding and support as a community was overwhelming. We are thankful that we were able to settle into this new normal as we continue to care for our patients. Everyday we get to see your smiling faces, is a day we are thankful for.
The staff also wanted to give a big thank you to our wonderful dentist Dr. Leo Polinkovsky. Dr. Leo has been the most understanding, caring, and respectful employer, dentist, and friend. Without his dedication to serving this community, keeping everyone safe, and amazing positivity the last year would have been completely different. Everyday we show up knowing our staff and patients are being supported and cared for in so many ways.

Looking for a hard working, motivated, and caring assistant to join our dental team! This position would be in a private practice that has been serving the Lafayette community for 20+ years. The perfect candidate is one who takes pride in their work, willingness to learn, and passion for growth! Experience is a plus but we are focused on finding someone who can grow with our dental office so training is possible.
During this time you can rest assured that we have ALL necessary PPE and are taking every precaution to keep our staff and patients safe.
Duties Include:
Chair Side Assisting
Maintaining Sterile Bay
Keeping OSHA Updated
Back Office Maintenance
This position would be 3/4 days a week 32-35 hrs a week.
M-Th with one alternating Friday a month.
No weekends!

*after probation period/anniversary date
Pay determined on experience.
