Our staff bought us this greyhound prop for Halloween. They told Dr. Lewis he had a dog in room one who "was not quite feeling like himself." Imagine the giggles when he walked in. It's nice to have a staff with a sense of humor. 🎃🕷️🦇
A friend sent me this. Really gave me a smile. Don't we all need more smiles? Zack Stark‎Quentin Tarantino FC September 9 at 4:25 PM · Pulp Fiction with a cat

We recently hosted a lhvc fun night, including pizza, movies, and games. It's been a crazy year and it was nice to have some fun time.
We couldn't function without our staff! They are the jack of all trades. They can schedule an appointment, place an IV catheter, fix the printer, cuddle with a new puppy, wrap a surgery pack, take a proper x-ray, do a laser treatment, fill a prescription, run bloodwork; I've seen many of them cry after a pet has gone to the rainbow bridge. Please take a few moments this week to tell our vet assistants and techs how much you appreciate them. It's a tough job and it takes a special person to do it. Today bunny Bella came to see us to get spayed. Thank you to her owner for giving us permission to post this. Lancaster County Pet magazine will soon release a digital article Dr. Lewis wrote about rabbits - since we see so many rabbits in our practice. Bella will be featured in that as well.
Yes. It's Friday!
Dr. Abe is a very good sport and we love him and his silly antics 😅😂🤣

Happy Birthday Dr. Lewis. Abe is ready for cake! Hope you have a great day 😍
Thank you for your kind words. We're sorry Nesta passed but glad to hear khamille is doing great! Alfredo Santiago recommends Lincoln Highway Veterinary Clinic. November 3 at 8:48 PM · I Took my two Panther Chameleons for egg removal surgery, but unfortunately it was too late for one. They performed surgery on both and did all they could keeping us informed the entire time. Nesta did not make it and they went out of their way to make a nice box to accommodate her body. This gesture was very consoling and we are very grateful they were able to Help Khamille.
Everybody go vote 🗳️ today. This kitty misunderstood the instructions. Lol

Have a pet- safe holiday. We at LHVC use the University of Illinois poison control hotline: (888)- 426-4435. They are experts in all types of poisons. They will collect credit card up front ($65). Dr Lewis pays it too when it's our dog. They will ask pets weight, how much it ate, brand, etc. They will tell you it's ok... or to get your pet to an emergency facility. It's great piece of mind. They have a database with thousands of products. We've used them for our personal dog who likes to eat coffee grounds, japanese beetles, etc. They've always called it right. Especially be careful of rich gravies and other foods your pet isn't used to... Pancreatitis is a serious condition. Also keep in mind if your dog has personal allergies that may cause issues. Our greyhound Nana can literally eat nothing besides her hypoallergenic food and salmon treats, without getting upset belly. Use care and keep everyone safe... Even your pets ❤️ Spencer Vet Services November 22 at 9:07 AM · A friendly reminder for the upcoming holidays.
Angela Lewis November 19 at 1:24 PM · We take social distancing seriously at LHVC. Here is Zulu who owns Meghan Housekeeper. LMAO
Just a reminder of our holiday hours. Remember we close early at 2 pm on Christmas and New years Eve, so our staff can spend time with their families.
Reminder:
Even though this video seems disturbing at first, it's simply a defense mechanism a gecko ("Terps") used when he got upset that Dr. Lewis examined him. Geckos will literally "throw their tails" at perceived enemies. Tails wag and distract and confuse their enemies. It sure worked! Dr. Lewis said in his 30 year career he's never actually witnessed this! Posted with permission of his owner Christine 🦎 BTW, Terps is just fine and we should start calling him Bond. James Bond. ❤️
Crouton loves when his bff Ross comes in ❤️
Thanks to our client Alicia for trusting us with her bunny 🥕 "Riggins just got done with his well check with Dr. Lewis at Lincoln Highway Veterinary Clinic. He was a champ and let Dr. Lewis look him over and didn't fight him at all, he didn't even need to be burrito wrapped!!! We are happy to report that he got a great bill of health from the tip of his ears to end of his cotton tail🙂 This was our first time visiting Dr. Lewis, we chose him because he knows bunnies and we want the best for Riggins, we are extremely pleased with his bedside manor, his love for animals, and his knowledge!!!! Wish I would have grapped a picture of him with Rigs, next time😉"

Lhvc will reopen at tommorow afternoon, December 17th, at 2 pm for scheduled appointments. Hopefully that will give our plowing company a chance to dig us out. Please use care.
CLOSING AT NOON ON WEDNESDAY: ❄️❄️❄️ REOPENING ??? We are watching the weather forecast carefully, and it looks like we're going to get slammed with a lot of snow this Wednesday. We have cancelled all morning surgeries and we are sending our staff home at NOON since some commute an hour away. Many of you have called us and cancelled and rescheduled already. As of now, we are watching Wednesday night to make a determination about Thursday. We are sorry for any inconvenience, and remember PETS stays open always for emergencies. Please stay tuned. Be safe. Have some hot cocoa.
Thank you to all our clients who gave us cards, words of encouragement, gift cards and other goodies. We appreciate you all ❤️ Angela Lewis Yesterday at 3:32 PM · Our clients are the best! Erik Austin and gang! Love the gifts and artwork 💗
RAZZberry the duck says (put it on my bill) lol! Remember: We will close tomorrow afternoon (Christmas Eve) at 2 pm. We will be closed Christmas day, and will reopen Monday, Dec 28th at 830 am. For all emergencies, please go to PETS. Have a blessed and safe Holiday. 😻🧑‍🎄🐕
Awwww... VT posted an episode of Aren't People Great? December 26 at 4:00 PM · This dad's Christmas gift came to life and his reaction is totally wholesome! 😍 💛
Remember we will be closing at 2 pm tomorrow (New years eve) and will reopen Monday, January 4th. Hopefully we will all have a better 2021. As always, PETS emergency will be open while we are closed.
My friend brought her beautiful Himalayan in today for a visit. Princeton has such beautiful eyes and reminded me of someone in this pose. Then I figured it out: ET (phone home).
WE WILL REOPEN ON MONDAY, JANUARY 18th. We thank you for all the understanding and messages of goodwill you sent. We have ALL gone through 10 day quarantine and have no fever or other symptoms. The staff member who tested positive has been fever free for 5 days and has been cleared to work by her doctor. Of course we will continue masks and social/client distancing. We are anxious to get back to the pets we love 😻🦴🐶🐕‍🦺🐁🐇🐢🦎
We were open today, but due to the weather, we will open at 2 pm tomorrow. Many of our staff lives 30 minutes from clinic and safety comes first. Dr.Lewis just did his mandatory continuing education in Alaska learning about canine athletes and got to do a sled ride.
Quiz of the day. This is Hercules, a chinese water dragon, posted with the owner's permission. The girls just love him. Can you guess why he is at the vets, based on his x-ray?
We are having a delay tomorrow until NOON. The roads are a solid sheet of ice and more is expected tonight. The safety of our staff and clients is priority. I have text all the morning appointments to let them know of cancelation. We regret any inconvenience. You can reschedule at 717-393-2444. Thank you for your understanding. Dr. Lewis.
Due to the impending storm tomorrow and the amount of snow and ice anticipated, we have made the decision to close our clinic tomorrow, Thursday February 18th. All appointments and surgeries have been rescheduled. We will play Friday by ear. In emergency situation, please call Pets. Keep safe.
Dr Lewis (and vet tech Olivia assist at) trimming back the overgrown lower beak of turtle "Rocket" so he can eat properly again. He used a surgical laser to cut the hard bone. Yes, Rocket was under anesthesia. He is 30+ years old! Posted with owners permission. The owner reports he is doing well.
Suicide has skyrocketed among vet professionals and staff. Be kind to us...we are doing our best to help your pets. My staff has been left in tears by those few who have cursed at them for not being able to squeeze a non-emergency in, or had to cancel someone who was 14 minutes late. We have feelings too. We are trying to help your pets. Luckily we are blessed with 97% of clients who are kind, thoughtful and understanding; thank you for your kindness. We appreciate it more than you know. #notonemorevetstaff #notonemorevet Not Another Vet Nurse Yesterday at 10:41 AM · Tuesday truth ✨ • • • #veterinarytechnician #veterinarymedicine #veterinary #vetmed #vettech #lvt #cvt #rvt #vettechlife #vetnurse #veterinarynurse #animalnurse #veterinarylife #veterinaryclinic #veterinarycare #veterinarynursing #veterinarytechnology #veterinarystaff #selfcare #suicideawareness #vettechsupportgroup #supportgroup #vettechstudent #vettechschool #vettechdegree #mentalhealthinvetmed #notanothervetnurse #navn
