A happy breaking news update. Minutes ago, a federal judge in New York fully restored DACA and ordered the Department of Homeland Security to post a public notice by Monday to accept first-time applications and ensure that work permits are valid for two years.
"U.S. District Judge Nicholas G. Garaufis in Brooklyn said he was fully restoring the eight-year-old Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA."
Obviously details are still being worked out, but we can say - act fast. There is an action by Texas and a few other states in another federal court seeking to have DACA 'wound down.'
