#DefendTheOrphan: In April 2015, @coreluv was contacted about a baby boy named Wilson, who desperately needed a home.
In a desperate attempt to end his life, Wilson’s mother fed him Clorox bleach and left him to die by the river bed. Although relatives prayed for him, they were unable to provide the necessary protection and care he needed.
Not only did he survive, but he was also placed in the Coreluv family in Myan, Haiti, where he would be loved and cared for as every child should be.
Today if you visit Myan, you will see Wilson, who has grown into a beautiful young boy. He is adventurous and loves to run. Often you will find him chasing other children around the playground and venturing out to play and explore just like all little boys his age should. #luvcoffee #coreluv

#DefendTheOrphan: When Jakinda first joined the Coreluv family, she was fearful of our staff and children. She had been found living on the streets, surviving only on what she could find in dumpsters and didn’t trust anyone. Getting her to respond was very difficult, but our staff consistently worked to build a relationship with her. Though she did not want anyone near her, our mommas were determined that love would eventually cause Jakinda to smile.
That WAS Jakinda’s sad reality until she was rescued from this hopeless situation! She was entrusted to Coreluv and would encounter the love of family, and receive a future bright with promise! #luvcoffee #coffeeshop #giveback

#DEFENDTHEORPHAN ❤️ Mylove was one of the first orphans we met and whose name we learned when Coreluv began in 2011. Mylove first came to Faith Hope Love Orphanage in Port Au Prince, Haiti, when she was around one year old. Mylove's mother died from aids, as did her older brother, and her father brought her to the orphanage because he was mentally unable to take care of her.
It was then discovered that Mylove had tuberculosis. She was nursed back to health and provided with all of the medical care she needed to treat tuberculosis. Not only did Mylove's health improve, but she also tested NEGATIVE for HIV Aids! #coreluv #luvcoffee #giveback #haiti

#DefendTheOrphan ❤️ On May 8, 2014, we received a call from IBESR, Haitian Social Services, about a ten-year-old boy abandoned at a hospital in Gonaives. He had epilepsy along with a cerebral handicap.
In this case, those in authority within the Haitian social services authorized the hospital to give the child to the Coreluv Children's Village in Myan. When contacted and presented with this situation, there was no question that Patrico needed to come to Myan, where he could be loved and cared for as every child should be! #luvcoffee #coreluv #orphans

#DefendTheOrphan ❤️ In May 2016, we received a call about a 15-month-old baby boy named Jean Christian who desperately needed a home. Jean Christian is originally from Hinche. His mother passed away due to HIV, and his father was disabled and blind, unable to provide for even his most basic needs, and didn't have a home to raise Jean Christian in. He was living behind the church, and no one could care for him. Another missionary named LaLa told Coreluv about Jean Christian's situation. Coreluv investigated and found no other community or family that could care for him properly and keep him safe in a home. He was very vulnerable to malnourishment, disease, and abuse, so Coreluv happily took him in.
Everybody who knows him adores him! He's very sweet, loving, adventurous, and silly. Jean Christian will be starting kindergarten next year. He doesn't see a stranger, and his smile will warm your heart from the moment you see it. #coreluv #luvcoffee #haiti

“When arriving at our first Coreluv Children’s Village in Maissade, I was able to see some familiar faces. Faces that were once on my computer screen are now looking back into my eyes with huge smiles. Grabbing my arms to try to peel off my tattoos, running their hands through my hair, gathering around me to listen to me play my guitar and sing the Father’s heart to them.
They loved every piece of who I am without knowing who I am. The expression of love they show completely shifted my view of what I thought love to be. I started to have a connection with many of the children. One, in particular, was Maniys. #LuvCoffeeStory ☕️ One of our owners and his family visited a Costa Rican coffee farm! The farm grows, harvests and roasts coffee! Cool fact 👉 they operate their farm the way their ancestors did, 100’s of years ago!
The Gonske family was able to ground some of the fresh beans the farmers roasted just 3 days earlier, before one of the farmers boiled water and brewed a fresh pot using the traditional "pour over" method! Their coffee was full of flavor and required no additions. It was incredible for this family of coffee farmers to share their age old Mastercraft!

#DefendTheOrphan ❤️ In March 2015, @coreluv received a call from a local and trusted pastor who knew of a 14 month old little boy named Jacob in desperate need of a home.
Jacob's mother had been very sick & died while his father was nowhere to be found. Because no one could properly care for him and because he was without a loving home, Jacob was very vulnerable to disease, abuse, and malnourishment. This heartbreaking reality brought him to Coreluv’ Myan Children’s Village.
Jacob was barely walking and timid when he first came to us. The older boys were very welcoming to him since he was the first baby boy we had in our care.
Today, you will find Jacob running around with the older boys, attending school, and smiling. Jacob is growing up in a safe and loving home. We believe he will grow to be a man of God! #coreluv #luvcoffee #giveback
