Over the past several years, remote teledermatology consults have been available in our office for patients with hair loss. It allows a consult to review your hair loss condition and create a treatment plan for those that cannot come into the office.
During the COVID-19 pandemic this has become an even more popular method for the diagnosis and treatment of hair loss problems. It can be done via Facetime or Zoom.

Yesterday my friend Melanie Grossman died after a long battle with cancer. She was a brilliant physician that help create laser hair removal as a fellow and became a world famous leading authority on laser skin surgery in dermatology. She was adored by her patients who were devoted to her skill as a physician and her absolute dedication to providing her patients the best of care . I always learned from her and enjoyed talking about innovations in our field. She was also a close friend to Robin and I and always enjoyed spending time with her so many dinners and parties together over the years.
Condolences to David and her entire family.

40 years ago today John Lennon was killed across the street from this spot in central park. It was a shocking event. The loss of a husband , father , friend and a global music icon .
