Dr. Marci A. Goolsby is an assistant attending physician at HSS in the Women's Sports Medicine Center and assistant professor at Weill Cornell Medical College. She is board certified in family medicine with a certificate of added qualification in sports medicine. She currently serves as team physician for the WNBA New York Liberty women’s professional basketball team and the US Olympic Biathlon team.
Dr. Goolsby treats patients for a variety of musculoskeletal complaints seeking nonsurgical care. Her main interests are stress fractures and the female athlete triad, which is the related components of nutrition-exercise balance, menstrual function, and bone health. As a prior collegiate basketball player with continued active lifestyle, she understands what it means to be an athlete and focuses on safe return to activity for her patient. She also has a special interest in the care of basketball players, runners and triathletes.
