THROWBACK THURSDAY: January 2, 2019 - Dr. Matossian conducted training for the team at Boston-based Kala Pharmaceuticals. It was a well-attended event and attendees gathered valuable knowledge. Here's hoping for more of these gatherings soon!

We stand on the shoulders of giants. During Black History Month, we celebrate an African-American innovator, Dr. Patricia Bath, who invented laserphaco, a device for cataract surgery. In 1983, Dr. Bath also became the first woman appointed Chair of Ophthalmology at a U.S. Medical Institution, at UCLA. She died in 2019, leaving a tall legacy for us to follow.
