Meet Dr. Lublin
Matthew Lublin, MD, FACS, specializes in general surgery at his self-named practice in Santa Monica, California, and has such expertise in laparoscopic procedures that other doctors seek him out for guidance. Dr. Lublin’s commitment to providing advanced surgical care shows in his medical training at UCLA and in his completed fellowships in advanced laparoscopic surgery, bariatric surgery, and surgical oncology.
Laparoscopic surgery is minimally invasive, so people have shorter hospital stays, faster recovery times, and a lower risk of infection compared with those whose surgery includes wider incisions. Dr. Lublin has a particular expertise in using laparoscopic surgery to remove gallbladders and to repair hernias. He even teaches courses to doctors about his laparoscopic hernia procedures.
Dr. Lublin is married and a father of three sons. He is a board-certified general surgeon, a member of the American Society for Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery, Americas Hernia Society, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, and he is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
