As a compassionate family physician, Maureen combines considerable medical knowledge with a careful listening ear, collaborating with patients and partnering with them to work toward their health goals. She has extensive expertise in the treatment and prevention of HIV and Hepatitis C and has a special interest in women's health issues, pain management and preventive care. Having earned her MD from the University of Southern California School of Medicine, Maureen went on to complete her residency in Family Medicine. She has been practicing primary care since 1986 in a variety of clinical settings, including private practice, abroad in Ethiopia and Liberia and most recently for the San Francisco Department of Public Health. She is board-certified in Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of HIV Medicine.
