Michael F. Steinberg, MD, FACC received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Florida Shands Hospital and cardiothoracic fellowship at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester New York. He is director of cardiothoracic surgery at Memorial Hospital of South Bend.
Board-certified in surgery and cardiothoracic surgery, Dr. Steinberg, a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, has authored numerous specific papers focusing on RNA processing and atherogenesis. He has three children and he and his children enjoy camping, backpacking, whitewater rafting and local theater.
