At MoveFree Academy, our passion is awakening within our students a love for sustainable movement. Our method is parkour. The functional art of movement. We train to control our bodies through physical and mental challenges the way they were meant to be used. There is a correct way to crawl, fall, roll, run, land, jump, climb, and swing. We know how to optimize performance while protecting the body from impact. We train to play forever. Most importantly our emphasis is on how to safely develop and use these skills. Students have fun by challenging themselves with progressive goals throughout their training, incrementally developing skills, and accomplishing objectives they may not have thought
possible.
Our Homeschool program, also offered through this location, is intended to offer kids a true physical education. Throughout this course students will set and track goals that are individually tailored to their specific needs. Students will learn to rise to new challenges both mentally and physically while developing group self-awareness and self esteem. To keep parents up to date, achievement dates will contain physical and social milestones, focus areas, goal tracking, and current skill level.
MoveFree Academy offers a creative outlet, encouraging and enabling participants to overcome their normal daily movement restrictions. Students are provided opportunities to recognize their strengths and weaknesses. Then, specific actions are defined to both maximize their strengths, while developing those skills they wish to improve. Students
are assisted in developing appropriate, achievable goals, and instructors use incentive programs to reward students as they achieve their goals.
