Hello everyone! With the long holiday weekend, we did want to remind everyone we will be closed on Monday, September 7th in celebration of Labor Day. If you are in need of emergency services, please contact The Cove in Suffolk (757) 935-9111, or Blue Pearl in Greenbrier (757) 366-9000 or Town Center (757) 499-5463. We will re-open Tuesday, September 8th at 8:00am. Thank you so much, and enjoy Labor Day!
To our Mt. Pleasant Clients,
These are unprecedented times we find ourselves in. Over the past 3 months, we as a clinic have adapted and overcome many obstacles to continue to provide exemplary care for your pets. We have seen an influx of patients and strive to see as many as we can, while continuing to maintain all safety requirements necessary for essential personnel working on the front lines. That being said, we are overbooked in order to accommodate all the pet in need- to keep them healthy and happy as well as ourselves. Unfortunately this occasionally means full phone lines, longer wait times and undoubtedly, frustration. While we recognize this frustration and apologize for any inconvenience- we must ask that you refrain from disrespecting the staff. The yelling, name calling and verbal abuse must come to an end. We seek to do the very best by you and your pet. We are human and we have an overwhelming love for animals but we are tired of the ugliness we have been shown. Be patient. Be respectful. Be kind. We thank you for this. We are all in this together.

All of our prescription pickups and technician appointments will still remain curbside until further notice. We will continue to monitor the situation and adjust our decision as appropriate. Curbside service will still be offered to those that are at risk, have children with them, or just prefer to remain in your vehicle. To comply with the safety guidelines, we are limiting the number of people per visit to one person. If you are the pet parent coming in for the scheduled appointment, you MUST be wearing a mask at all times, but NO gloves will be allowed. We kindly ask if you are feeling ill, just got over an illness, or have been exposed to someone that is or has been sick, that you either reschedule your appointment or send someone different to the appointment. Once you arrive to our parking lot, please call us at 757-482-3534 to check in and let us know if you would like to remain curbside for your appointment or if you would like to come in. If you choose to come in for the visit, we will ask that you wait in your vehicle until we send an assistant out to escort you directly to a room. If you have any questions, please call our office at 757-482-3534. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time. 🐾

Dear Friends,
Unfortunately, we did learn that we have had a high risk exposure to Covid-19. Due to this unforeseen circumstance we have decided it is best to close the clinic for the weekend to deep clean and keep everyone safe. We are taking necessary precautions to ensure that our staff and clients stay healthy. We will be closing today, January 8th at 12pm, and will remain closed through Sunday, January 10th. We plan to reopen on Monday, January 11th, and resume seeing scheduled appointments then. As for Friday afternoon and Saturday appointments, we are in the process of getting those cancelled and rescheduled as needed. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out. You can leave a voicemail at 757-482-3534 or email us at staff@mtpleasantvet.com.
Thank you for understanding and being patient.

Does your cat love to climb and you find them in random places?
Cats instincts are to climb to hunt for their prey. Domestic cats still have that instinct but climb for the fun of it or just to see the world in a different perspective.
