Our restaurant, located on 13th Street and Michigan Avenue, in the South Loop area presents yet another facet of the abundant
cultural diversity of Chicago, for which our city is justly renowned.
The sweeping Himalayan mountain range touches Tibet, Pakistan, India, Nepal and Bhutan, each with its unique blend of cultures and cuisines. Nepal sits astride the heart of the Himalaya. We are honored to bring you a generous sampling of Nepali cuisine augmented by dishes from, or influenced by, our neighbors.
Nepal House features an array of classic Nepali cuisine, including dishes like "momo" (dumplings with sauce), traditional Nepali "Thalis" (meal combinations), "dal-bhaat" (rice and lentils) and "gundruk" (slightly-fermented and dried vegetables). We also carry many North and South Indian dishes including the ever popular Tandoor-oven items like "roti", "naan" and chicken as well as many curries. We strive to use the freshest ingredients and employ the most healthful cooking techniques in our preparation.
We hope that Nepal House will provide you an unique cultural experience combining the romantic Nepali-influenced decor, Nepali music and attentive service and enhancing your meal.
Nepal House will, we hope, serve as an exotic vacation escape for you and a home away from home for the Himalayan diaspora.
We are also pleased to inform you that the community here heartily supports our other two locations one, in Highwood, and the other nearby in Printer's Row, South Loop.
