I had the opportunity to take my friend and fellow mineral dealer Dale Harwood out for a birthday dinner. Dale turns 72 on Saturday. In this era of quarantines and social distancing it's nice to be able to surprise someone who normally would not have the opportunity to celebrate with others.

I haven't posted in quite a while. Here are some very nice synthetic quartz crystals that I purchased years ago from a quality control manager at the Alexandrov synthetic crystal factory in Russia. I have sold several specimens to dealers recently, so I thought it might be a good idea to post them for my Instagrammers. Besides being interesting specimens, they are great teaching specimens to show a material used in the electronic industry. They are also great cutting material for faceters. I have other sizes and shapes available.

I have been so busy lately that I have not been on Facebook much in the past month. I did get my second Moderna Covid vaccine today. The first round went well, the only side effect I had was a sore arm for two days. I expect to have a few more side effects from the second dose, fatigue and muscle pain most likely. Will keep everyone informed if there are any issues in the next few days.
