Dr. Nicholas Reese knew from an early age he wanted to be an oncologist. He attended the University of California, Santa Barbara on a Regents Scholarship and majored in biology. Upon graduation, he was awarded the singular Colville-Dearborn Memorial Award � given to the graduating senior with the most outstanding achievement in the sciences. Dr. Reese attended medical school at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. As a medical student he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and was also awarded with the American College of Physicians Student Internist Award for Outstanding Performance in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Reese completed his post-graduate training in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and the David Geffen School of Medicine. As a clinical fellow, he worked on
numerous clinical protocols for prostate cancer. Dr. Reese is committed to providing high-quality, personal care to patients - "I work closely with my colleagues in Westwood and strive to ensure that the same medical expertise and access to cutting-edge research done at UCLA's main campus is brought to patients in the community."
Dr. Reese is on staff at both Hoag Newport Beach, Hoag Irvine and Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and
Hematology. Dr. Reese lives in Irvine with his wife and young son. He is an avid sports fan and roots for the Los Angeles Dodgers, UCLA Bruins, and Los Angeles Kings. He enjoys playing tennis and chasing his toddler.
