# 1. Stimulation: cardboard boxes make great forts. You can simply put one inside another at a 90 degree angle or you can get elaborate by cutting holes and taping a few together. Hours of fun!!
# 2. Needy cats: some cats require more attention than others. If you are busy and your furry friend wants to be held, put a hoodie on backwards so the hood is on your chest. Place your kitty in the hood. Now your kitty can sleep next to you while you work! 😊

Santa isn't the only thing we are waiting on at North State!! Pretty soon we will have some little ones running around. Meet Cheesecake!! Cheescake was brought in by one of our sweet clients who found her running around the streets. Well..... after a month and a half of being with us we discovered our sweet girl wasn't just eating for 1. We have since turned our avian ward into a birthing sweet and are patiently awaiting the arrival of her babies. All babies and mom will eventually be looking for a forever home. We will not be accepting adoption inquiries for a few weeks. We will first be making sure mom and babies are healthy.

These two love muffins are in need of a foster or forever home!! Both are currently going through heartworm treatment here at the clinic. Both babies are fully vaccinated and have guardian angels who will be covering thier remaining heartworm treatment needs. Cheesecake is a (estimated) 2 year old female. Very loving and seems to do ok with other dogs. Would need a trial run if unsure. Bojangles is a neutered laid back male whom would prefer an only dog household, but super gentle with humans. For more information or if you are interested in adopting or fostering please call 601-982-8261.

A wellness exam is a complete physical exam that's performed every 6 months by a veterinarian to ensure that your pet maintains optimal health. During the visit, your pets vaccinations are updated, and routine diagnostics are performed; such as a heartworm test, fecal examination, and routine bloodwork. A wellness exam is recommended for pets during all life stages (neonatal, adult, and geriatric). Routine visits can help detect diseases early, so it can be treated early with medications and/or lifestyle changes. Please feel free to bring your pet(s) to North State Animal Hospital for their next wellness exam. You may book your appointment online or call 601-982-8261.

This Saturday, March 13th is K-9 Veterans Day. Join us in wishing a Happy K-9 Veterans Day to all dogs that have served in the military! Thank you for your loyalty, dedication, training, and service for our country. You are extremely appreciated for all of your hard-work, and we wish you a very special day this Saturday!
DONATIONS NEEDED!!
We are asking that our friends please donate what they can to our Wildlife Rehabilitation and or the Doug Burchack benevolent fund. During the summer months we get overwhelmed with wildlife animals who require a good bit of care as well as several low income situations where an animal needs care that the family cannot afford. We are able to use these accounts to save these animals lives in most cases. If you would like more information on how to donate or to become a monthly giver please call 601-982-8261 and talk to one of our receptionist. We thank you all in advance.
