It's time to get your flu shot! Getting the flu vaccine is something to be proud of. You're helping to protect yourself and vulnerable members of the community. Show off your photo and use the hashtag #FluShotSelfie, and be sure to tag @OchsnerHealth!
Remember that while the flu vaccine won't protect against COVID-19, it can reduce the risk of flu illness, hospitalization and death. It's more important than ever this fall, not only to reduce your risk from the flu but to help conserve potentially scarce health resources.

Get to know Beverly McCoy, NP.
Beverly fills her work day with acute care visits and virtual visits while serving at Ochsner Health Center - Franklinton. She says the most rewarding part of her job is seeing patients reach small successes in their health. "We want to work together with patients to help them achieve their best level of health. When you see that lightbulb go off or you see someone have a win. That's the best."
Outside of work, Beverly loves to volunteer. She has been a long time volunteer at a free clinic for people experiencing homelessness. She also serves her church and the local symphony. Beverly loves to travel and has plans to make a world tour when she retires. Her list includes taking a train across Canada, visiting Australia and New Zealand and seeing Southeast Asia.
