Patricia A. Tenner, MD, received degrees in psychology from the University of Houston and in library science from the University of Texas in Austin, Dr. Tenner completed her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She completed her pediatric internship at Children's Hospital of Austin and her pediatric residency at Texas A&M Health Science Center's Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas. After a year of fellowship training in pediatric pulmonology at the University of Iowa, in Iowa City, Dr. Tenner completed her fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Prior to fellowship training, Dr. Tenner worked as a private practice general pediatrician in Temple, Texas. After fellowship training she served as assistant professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and as attending pediatric intensivist at Christus Santa Rosa Children's Hospital and University Hospital. She joined Children's Critical Care Specialists (then Children's Hospital Intensive Care Associates) in 2005 and leads the team of pediatric intensivists and hospitalists as director. Dr. Tenner is board certified in pediatric critical care medicine.
