Pittsburgh East Animal Hospital is excited to announce that due to the high demand for veterinary care at our practice, we are in search of a full time Client Care Representative and Veterinary Technician/ Assistant! Applicants must be open to work at both locations, (Monroeville and Greensburg). Work schedule to be 4-5 days a week; Monday- Saturday. We are closed Sundays and holidays. We have excellent, experienced long term staff members and an upbeat, enjoyable work environment. We strive to achieve client satisfaction through high quality medicine and surgery. Technician Position: Previous veterinary technician/ assistant experience are preferred, although we are willing to train new veterinary technician graduates. Skills must include but are not limited to: providing excellent client education, accuracy in blood draws, proper restraining of the animals, knowledge of animal science and diagnostics, and experience in taking radiographs. Having skills in anesthesia is preferred, but not required. Client Care Representative Position: Experience in veterinary client care is preferred, although we are willing to provide training in this field for the right candidate. All applicants must be kind, patient, compassionate, and have excellent computer and communication skills. Ability to implement logistics and decision making skills are essential in scheduling appointments and taking phone calls. Applicant must also display superb skills in multi-tasking as this position is very fast paced. Other duties include checking clients/patients in and out, assisting clients to their vehicles, some light cleaning, and able to lift up to 40 pounds. There may also be an opportunity to cross train for a veterinary assistant position, as well. As the face of Pittsburgh East Animal Hospital, our receptionists are highly valued employees.
