Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain. It involves inflammation of a thick band of tissue that runs across the bottom of your foot and connects your heel bone to your toes (plantar fascia). Plantar fasciitis commonly causes stabbing pain that usually occurs with your first steps in the morning. As you get up and move, the pain normally decreases, but it might return after long periods of standing or when you stand up after sitting. Meet Dr. Christine Molla! Dr. Molla has been with the practice for almost 2.5 years. She is originally from Huber Heights and is an alumna of Wright State University where she obtained her undergraduate degree. She earned her Doctorate at SCPM in Chicago, IL and completed her 3 year surgical residency in Dayton, OH. She is ABPM board certified. She is always accepting new patients and will be happy to help take care of your foot and ankle issues!
