Prevention Network offers assistance with understanding substance use disorder and provides education to promote healthy choices. Prevention Network works to connect those in need of service to agencies within the community. We can cater our educational material to fit your needs. Services offered include but are not limited to Alcohol and other drugs prevention and education, Gambling Prevention, Parenting Classes, Narcan Training, Underage Drinking Prevention,Department of Social Services Assessments, Alcohol Server Training, Victim Impact Panel, Impaired Driving Program, and Teen Institute. Onondaga County Sheriff's Office November 29 at 8:07 AM · Deputies save woman from apparent drug overdose. Early this morning at approximately 3:25 AM, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence in the Town of Lafayette after receiving a 911 call of an unconscious and unresponsive 38 year old female. Deputies quickly arrived on scene where they discovered the female lifeless on the living room floor. Subsequent to the Deputies interview with the victim’s relative it was determined that the female was suffering from an apparent accidental drug overdose. Deputy Dane Spicer immediately administered the drug Naloxone “Narcan” through the victim’s nasal passage before beginning CPR. A second dose of Narcan was administered by Deputy Alexa Pederson. After several more minutes of CPR, the victim regained a pulse. Lafayette Fire Department along with TLC Ambulance arrived where they continued to provided advanced life-saving techniques until the victim regained consciousness, with a normal pulse and a regular breathing pattern. Outstanding job to all involved!
