Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is a major religious holiday celebrated by people in various religious groups including Hindu, Jains, Sikhs, and more. The holiday is popular in India, but it is celebrated in many countries. The name Diwali comes from a Sanskrit word that means “row of lights.” The Diwali festivities last for 5 days with the fourth day marking the start of the new year on the Hindu calendar. In the United States, Diwali falls in late October or early November.
Learning citizenship is part of every Primrose student's experience. That's why Veteran's Day is a perfect time to celebrate our bravest citizens. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! ❣️
The children loved getting to vote today for Mia or Percy and their favorite snack! The winner is Mia the Mouse and Teddy Grahams.
Election Day at Primrose isn’t about who wins or loses. It’s about showing the students why voting is important to all Americans and helping students understand civic involvement and citizenship in an engaging way. Children are introduced to these responsibilities through activities and projects that help them become aware of their community of friends in their classroom and their neighborhood.
It’s our mission to create a brighter future for all children – both inside and outside our school. Understanding the importance of civic responsibility gives our students the foundation they need
to make a difference in the community at all levels.
