In our Preschool 1 and 2 class, we have been talking about Living or Non-Living things. After reading the story, Plants, we had the kids observe one living and non living object. Then we got to observe these traits using our magnifying glasses. It was a great practice in seeing the differences between animate and inanimate objects and living and non living things.
Og's Reading Bag is one of our favorite ways to bring that school to home connection. With this bag, our students are able to bring in a book from home to share with their classmates. Such a great way to foster a love of books along with the act of kindness by sharing that book with their friends. This is such a valuable asset to our Primrose Curriculum along with building that lifelong connection to a love of reading!
Project Time in Pre Kindergarten 2 was all about traits of animals. Mrs. McCrabb read the book "What Animal is it?" so the kids could go over various animal parts as a class. It was great to see the kids observing and describing similarities and differences while discussing the animal traits.
