Did you know RACC is behind the scenes in emergency rooms helping sexual assault victims? During these visits, if a forensic exam is done, many times, belongings are taken for evidence from the victim leaving them with nothing to wear home. The Dacotah chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution National Headquarters created Beloved Bundles from the Project Beloved: The Molly Jane Mission for our team to bring along when they are called to the emergency room. These bundles come in various sizes & include: clothing, undergarments, hygiene products & other necessary items so that the survivor can leave with dignity! We are so lucky our community has generous volunteers that want to empower survivors!

🔧🚗 Collaborating with community partners means more opportunities for our clients to get help! Thank you to Fix It Forward Ministry for continuing to partner with us! Fix It Forward Ministry 23 hrs · Car #269 has found it's new owner! This nice Accord Hybrid went to a lady working with RACC of Fargo-Moorhead. She had been diagnosed with cancer and had been currently undergoing chemotherapy at a local hospital. Her beloved convertible broke down earlier in 2020. She has been relying on her sister for rides to her treatment appointments. Ironically, this same sister had also recently battled cancer. The donation of this vehicle will allow her to be independent in driving, eliminating the reliance on others for her transportation needs. More great news in that she has been responding well to treatment and hopes that the Lord gives her the strength to continue fighting. Thanks to our generous community that donates these wonderful vehicles for us to repair and give back to those in-need. Also huge thanks to our amazing volunteers for donating their time and talents to help make this important mission possible. 📱Thank you Fargo Police Department for reaching out & choosing to collaborate with us! Listen below to learn more about why these cell phones will help RACC clients ⬇️ Fargo Police Department was live. January 26 at 4:04 PM · Fargo Police Donate Used Department Phones to Rape and Abuse Crisis Center for Emergency Use The Fargo Police Department (FPD) learned of an on-going need by the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center (RACC) for used cell phones. The RACC provides the cell phones to domestic abuse victims, who are able to use the phones for 911-only calls if they find themselves in a dangerous situation. Currently, the department follows a two-year cycle for upgrading department phones. Previously, phones have been sold on an online auction or kept as backup . Recently, Police Chief David Zibolski and The City of Fargo have identified this worthy cause and approved the donation of old cell phones to the RACC. Today, the department will provide 20 cell phones to victims in the Fargo community. In domestic violence cases, it is not uncommon for abusers to break or take away the cell phones of victims. Destroying or denying phones is one way in which abusers can control their partner. Without a cell phone, victims are unable to call for help when needed. Those who do have cell phones are often stalked and intimidated by the abuser through the device. The FPD strives to provide the highest level of service through community partnerships, and forward thinking policing to improve the quality of life for the members of our community. This partnership with the RACC exemplifies the department’s value of Guardianship and Respect. The FPD believes that all human life has value and deserves respect, and will guard, protect, and preserve the life of those in the Fargo community.
