We will never forget. I was a new military spouse sitting on my couch as Eddie was flying a training flight thinking dear God what does this mean? Why?!?!!? Horrifying and so very sad. That day changed so much for many. Today we remember those lost as hero’s and those close to them left behind pray for them today. Love... it’s the only way to true peace.

I love to have a theme week and as Cara and I have discussed recently how much we want our clients to begin really trying to be mindful in their sessions at the studio. Being aware, and listening to your body in the moment. When moves get difficult you breathe where you need breathe in a calm state because you are being mindful. While being mindful we can think deeper about what we are working and learn the why behind it. I believe that when we are mindful in a method like Pilates it can take you beyond the studio into the world where it can begin to seep into your daily life. So we challenge you this week to come in to let go of all of the chaos outside and allow yourself time. Time to connect to your body, your heart and your mind. We love you and feel honored to watch your growth.

Hi Jen here! I have the pleasure of working with serious dancers during the week. This one here just made this look so easy! Have a dancer that needs strength, stability and flexibility? Take the time to do your body and mind work it will reduce chances of injury and make things seem simply effortless while performing (even though we know you are working incredibly hard). One more word of advice... when doing pilates make sure you are performing always, pointed toes, lengthen and contracting as if you were on stage. I was thinking about when I go and get my car washed and cleaned inside. I love how it feels when I drive away, I actually feel like my car drives better, like its happy lol.
Maybe just me but when I think about how I feel when all the clutter in my life that feels overwhelming that heaviness can overtake you. Your mind, your body reacts, your whole life is effected by all that stuff that is weighing us down. All of these things are completely out of our control. So what do we do?
•Take moments for yourself to meditate, breathe, pray whatever grounds you is what you need.
•What we take in our minds all day affects us. Take a good look at what you are giving time to that is only bringing you down. Change it…
•Enjoy the little things, we need these more than all the big stuff. Most the time they matter more.
•Stop eating things that you know are not making you feel your best. It is different for each individual so find that lifestyle for you.
•Exercise daily at least 30 min day
•Let go of what doesn’t bring you joy life is too short to hold on to things that will only hold you back.
The car is kinda funny to me because even getting the car cleaned makes me feel better. Right? Am I the only one? Think if we can clean out the clutter inside ourselves just think how things will look differently around you. Things to ponder…

Let’s talk about what we tell ourselves on the daily. Have our minds taken over on a negative path? With the past year and ups and downs, do we even know or realize how we talk to ourselves can be so damaging and have direct effects on meeting our goals? Maybe we say things like, we are not everything that we believe we should be. All that does is take us a step backwards every time. To only delay the beautiful journey ahead. We want our clients at Re:Gen to feel when they come in and move, breathe and ok… burn a lot too lol. We also help lift you up and motivate you in whatever might be happening at the time. New Years Resolutions? Let’s not… lets put our energy into training your thoughts and everything that we want to achieve will happen but it starts in our mindset. Many years as a military spouse I allowed so many circumstances to pull me down. I found myself stuck at times only because of my mindset. If I just could figure out how to practice finding joy in where I was in the moment I knew my entire disposition would change for the better. Don’t be stuck, let’s move forward, let’s get up and find gratitude, eat real food, exercise, and love ourselves because you are created for so much more! You are worth it!
