Originally from Boston, Dr. Rica Santiago completed a bachelor of science degree in biology with a minor in biochemistry from Emmanuel College in 2001. Dr. Santiago graduated from Boston University School of Medicine in 2006, and for the next three years, she completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois Advocate Christ Medical Center.
Dr. Santiago provides comprehensive internal medicine services and her interests include hypertension, heart disease, high cholesterol, and women's health. She has spoken on topics ranging from stroke risk to weight management at locations such as Summerville Medical Center and Del Webb Senior Community. She belongs to the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians.
