Despite the challenges COVID-19 presents, Lutheran Senior Services communities are standing tall and will emerge even stronger thanks to our 160-year legacy of excellence and most of all to the people – staff, residents, and family members – who make up our communities.

Cozy and hunkered down with some happy hour treats, puzzles, and games as smells of a tasty Thanksgiving dinner fill the halls.
A Thanksgiving Blessing
Thanksgiving is a time of gratitude to God, our Creator and Provider, whose guidance and care go before us, and whose love is with us forever. Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the changes, to remember that we, too, grow and change from one season of life to another. Thanksgiving is a time of changing seasons, when leaves turn golden in autumn's wake and apples are crisp in the first chill breezes of fall. Let us remember the true meaning of Thanksgiving. As we see the beauty of autumn, let us acknowledge the many blessings which are ours, let us think of our families and friends, and let us give thanks in our hearts.

Wow! What an honor. We have been nominated in mid county STL for the 2020 Business of the Year Award. We are so thankful and find this to be such a boost of encouragement in these tough times. We would not be in this position if it weren’t for the great community, residents and staff that we have.
We would love your vote! See the link below.

We always share some exercises and activities for the mind in our newsletters. One of the favorites is guess who! Residents will try to identify the following celebs in our next resident newsletter coming out tomorrow.
Comment below with all the folks you can identify (no googling allowed!)
Ask your loved one at Richmond Terrace when you call them next if they were able to guess any of these names too!
Hear from LSS residents about how much they appreciate LSS staff and the extra attention they are providing to residents during this time.

“Come hang out with me, I have cupcakes!”
We had a CUPCAKE BAR to celebrate, our new administrator, Robin’s birthday. Robin decorated cupcakes for and had fun conversations with our residents.
1. Pick your cupcake. 2. Pick your frosting. 3. Pick your topping.
Also, my goodness, Virginia’s cupcakes 👍👏🙌🤌😍
For Black History Month our dining services manager, Virginia, is bringing “Soul Food Fridays” to our residents and staff.
Thank you Virginia, for always going above and beyond for us in food services!!!
Doris is sending love out to her cousin, Jim. She shared, “He’s so generous and he always finds things for me that I love. He is a good person. I like Laura and Valerie, his daughters, too. Oh! ...And his brother Stephen!
“The picture is of my late sister Delores. I love her, period. We loved doing puzzles together. It was fun to have a twin, people think you’re pulling jokes on ‘em even when you don’t!!”
