Robert Bloss, MD, began practicing pediatric surgery in Houston in 1981. Since that time, he has become one of the most prominent pediatric surgeons in the country. He developed a national reputation as a leader and is a member of the American Pediatric Surgical Association and the Lilliputian Surgical Society.
He received his medical degree from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed his general surgery training in Dallas and in Houston. His pediatric surgery residency was completed at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Dr. Bloss is board certified in pediatric surgery, as well as general surgery. He is also re-certified in pediatric surgery.
Dr. Bloss is active in the Houston medical societies. He is past president of the Houston Gastroenterologic Society and past vice president of the Houston Pediatric Society. Dr. Bloss has served as President of the Medical Staff at Texas Children's Hospital.
