Robert G. Kerr, MD, PhD, FRCPSC joined Northwell Health in 2013 and is the Section Chief of Neurosurgery at Huntington Hospital and Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
Dr. Kerr received his medical degree from Queen’s University and his PhD from the University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine and went on to complete his neurosurgery residency at the University of Alberta School of Medicine/Dentistry. Following residency, Dr. Kerr completed a fellowship in skull base surgery at the renowned Mayfield Clinic at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Dr. Kerr utilizes NICO BrainPath access technology, a novel surgical method to target brain tumors and hemorrhages that were once thought hard to reach. He is a respected member of the Canadian Medical Association, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Medical Council of Canada, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the Society for Neuro-Oncology.
