We are looking for compassionate, loving caregivers to care for our senior clients across Long Island. Someone who can help them live a better quality of life while still maintaining their independence.
Certification or a driver's license isn't necessary.
Must be 21 years or older to apply.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Remind client to take prescribed medication
- Assist client with ambulation, mobility and transfers as-needed
- Assist client with personal care and hygiene as-needed
- Plan and prepare meals
- Do the client’s shopping or accompany them for errands, outings and appointments as-needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties that client can’t complete on their own
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents and changes in client's condition
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
SKILLS:
- Experience as a caregiver
- Experience/knowledge of - Alzheimer's/dementia care
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ethics
- Physical endurance
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

In order to ensure the safety of our caregivers and clients, PPE, including a face mask and gloves, need to be worn while on duty. These items will be supplied to our caregivers.
