Dr. Sheldon Klausner is a compassionate ear, nose, and throat (ENT) doctor treating patients in Santa Monica, California, and the surrounding communities. His primary goal as a practitioner is to treat each patient as a whole person, not a collection of symptoms. He applies holistic approaches to solve illnesses and reduce the need for surgery and prescription medication. Patients visiting Dr. Klausner can receive a full range of ear, nose, and throat care for all age groups. Hearing tests and VNG/balance testing are also available, in addition to hearing aid consultation, sales, and repair. His areas of professional interest include nasal and sinus disease, hearing, vertigo, and balance disorders, snoring and sleep apnea treatment, and issues with the throat, voice, and allergies. He holds certification from the American Board of Otolaryngology.
Originally from New York, Dr. Klausner attended the University of California, Los Angeles for his undergraduate degree, receiving membership in Phi Beta Kappa. He completed his medical degree at the University of Southern California and went on to serve his internship at the Los Angeles County General Hospital. Dr. Klausner continued his medical education at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, where he received residency training in general surgery and otolaryngology–head and neck surgery. He served his country as an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist in the U.S. Air Force, serving one year at Cam Ranh Bay Air Base in Vietnam, and nearly two years at Bitburg Air Base in Germany.
When he is not treating patients, Dr. Klausner enjoys cooking, yoga, tai chi, and spending time with his wife and daughters.
