State Farm and other carriers started writing ACV policies on roofs, recently. If you have State Farm and have renewed your policy this past year #2020 or are up for renewal, call your agent immediately and make sure you have RCV or Replacement Cost Value coverage on your policy, specifically your roof.
An ACV policy will severely diminish your claim value the older your roof gets, and could leave you out of pocket thousands(multiple thousands) more than just your deductible during the event of a loss such as hail & wind which are common in North Texas. Typically this type of policy may be cheaper on the annual basis but will leave you high and dry in the event of a loss.
