Spring Arbor continues to make the safety and security of our residents, families and team members our very highest responsibility. As more cases of coronavirus are arising across the country, we have made the decision to restrict on-site visitation of all visitors and non-essential health care personnel, except for certain compassionate care circumstances, such as an end-of-life situation.
As always, we will keep you informed if any of our procedures change. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact the community’s Executive Director.
So I found this HUMONGOUS embroidery hoop which was perfect for my seasonal sensory corner! Using felt I have an interactive display that residents will be able to touch, rearrange and have fun! Looking forward to each season to see what they create next!
On a rainy Friday we had fun with our Cottage signature program “Art from the Heart”! While listening to show tunes from Hello Dolly and Oklahoma we painted, visited and enjoyed the fellowship!
Happy Hour was a blast this week! We had Italian Cookies, cheese and crackers and fresh fruit with sweet yogurt dip! Thanks to all departments to help me give the residents a fun social!!
Everyone in the Raleigh Cottage knows what this orange box is about to do! "Sing Fit" music therapy is about to make a whole bunch of people sing, exercise, laugh & reminisce! Afterwards we hydrated and enjoyed a snack!

Autumn calls for everything PUMPKIN! 🎃 Ms. Ethel & Ms. Fran helped me prepared a no-bake pumpkin cheesecake pie. The smell was delightful but I’m sure the taste of it is even better. In the fridge it goes for about an hour and then we’re diggin’ in!

Celebrated Oktoberfest today. We enjoyed soft pretzels with mustard & cheese, cheddar brats with sauerkraut and of course... some beer!!!

It’s HAPPY HOUR! This week we are happy about 2 things...1. Our love of records and all things vinyl (notice the homemade bowls and platters)! 2. (Most importantly!) Today’s Apple Cobbler was made by this wonderful caregiver Vinus! The residents gave her applause for her wonderful treat! Thank you Vinus! You learned quickly!
Halloween came early in the Cottage and with “superhero help” the residents had a blast! Fresh apples with caramel, a dancing Pooh bear, homemade treats, monster mash music , goody bags and a fun movie to cap the day off! Special thanks to Miss Kathy’s granddaughter Mallory for sending me the recipe for the “shrunken heads “! (Aka Oreo no bake cookies).
A big shout out to this amazing duo right here! Our Activity & Wellness Director, Victoria and our Activity & Wellness Assistant, Rachael. They always have something up their sleeves to leave us all smiling and laughing throughout the day while keeping our residents involved in everything!
