The David Walsh Cancer Center has reached its tenth year! ⭐ The Walsh Family has given this community such an immensely wonderful gift to memorialize David Walsh, his zest for life – and to establish a comprehensive cancer program “right here at home” so that others did not have to endure the travel and unfamiliarity of treatment at a large, metropolitan referral center – as David did. ❤️
Our community and neighbors have benefited and continue to benefit from this gift! Join us to celebrate the life and legacy of David Walsh, as well as the generosity of the entire Walsh family!
May our team continue to deliver great care in honor of the Walsh family and all those who have fought and continue to fight against cancer!

Happy Health Care Supply Chain Week to our great staff that are essential to creating excellent care!
Help us thank our food service workers at Sterling Regional MedCenter who provide the essential and exceptional food service care! ❤️
Healthcare foodservice workers play a significant role in the day-to-day operation of a healthcare facility. They cater meetings, provide take-out orders for staff and visitors, and of course, prepare healthy meals for patients of all backgrounds and health needs. Their work behind the scenes is even more amazing. They manage the extensive inventory of food for hundreds and thousands of meals.
Still as important as ever... social distancing!

Respiratory Care Week gives us a little more breathing room for the week of October 25-31. Hard-working doctors, nurses and respiratory therapists care for patients with breathing difficulties due to chronic conditions like asthma. Respiratory Care Week highlights the information we need to keep us breathing well so we can enjoy a great quality of life.
We like to recognize and thank our great Respiratory team at SRM not only for this week, but for every day that they assist our patients to breath with ease!
Celebrate Health Care Facilities and Engineering Week!
Facility managers largely work behind the scenes to create safe, healing environments. Their work, although a critical part of hospital operations, often goes unnoticed. National Health Care Facilities and Engineering Week is a time to shine a spotlight on the important work done by facility departments. This year, National Health Care Facilities and Engineering Week highlights how the facility and engineering departments are essential members of the health care team. During the week of October 25–31, take the time to recognize your facility department.
This year's theme is "Heroes of Health Care Facilities." Every year, in the last week of October, we celebrate the important role that facility team members have in ensuring a safe and efficient environment for all patients, residents, visitors, and staff within hospitals.
SRM has the best team that works hard keeping everything running smoothly! Please thank them for all they do when you see them around the facility.
Let's continue to work together for and #MaskUpCO! Thank you for doing your part to keep Colorado Safe!

Celebrate Perioperative Nurses Week!
November 8 – 14, 2020
Perioperative Nurses Week celebrates their profession, their practice, and their ongoing commitment to our teams and patients. This year, the Perioperative Nurses Week theme is: “Safe Surgery Together: Strength in Numbers”.
During the week we are grateful for our team of perioperative nurses who are working continually to ensure surgical safety. From preoperative care through surgery and postoperative care, in hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers and physicians' offices, perioperative nurses use a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to patient care to work closely with the entire surgical team.
At Sterling Regional MedCenter we know perioperative nurses are all warriors and advocates for our patients and their families. We thank you for all you do!

We will be pre-screening donors and working to keep 6 feet of distance between donors to keep our community safe! To learn more about what we are doing in response to COVID-19, visit us online at Vitalant today.
