SAD • SAD • SAD
Only in Terre Haute
Thanks to the Vigo Co. Health
Dept. (VCHD), the City of Terre Haute
was forced to send 2 departments -
the City Parks Department and the
City Street Department to pickup up
over 40 Picnic Tables and over 100
Street Barricades that were delivered
yesterday - yes - yesterday!
Why? Because the VCHD decided
to place obstacles for the downtown
business owners so that they would
NOT open the “Eat in the Street”
which was planned for the month
of September!
The Board of Public Works
approved the plan.
The Indiana State Excise Police
approved the plan.
The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce
approved the plan.
The Downtown Business Owners
approved the plan.
The Vigo County Health Department
did not officially deny the plan but placed
so many barriers that they effectively
Denied the Plan.
While we know Dr. Brucken had nothing
to do with the decision, it is not clear
who are all involved in the Health
Department - hopefully time will tell.
What is the real reason ... no one knows
for sure but the speculation has to do with
the opening of a new pizza restaurant
downtown.
Thus type of nasty politics in Terre Haute
has to stop.
The victims are the small Business owners
that are struggling to keep their doors open
for the last six months during Covid-19.
You would think that the county government
would bend over backwards to help them -
no not in Terre Haute!
Shame on the Vigo County Health Dept.
All those involved in the corruption should
resign or be fired!
